After cementing their friendship, the three dec&ed to Tim’s studio in Melbourne, where the songs on Altitude were recorded.All the instruments on Altitude were played by White, Oacute Maonlaiacute and Finn. The album was originally released on CD in 1995. This deluxe reissue of Altitude has been remastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios and pressed onto 2 x 180g vinyl at The Vinyl Factory.The newly remastered version of Altitude features five additional bonus tracks from the original sessions. Three songs are previously unreleased in any form. From Leeds in the early 80’s – labelmates of Sisters of Mercy. Constantly at the heights of the UK indie singles charts, they released LP compilations in the UK and USA. Signing to a major, they featured in the John Hughes’ Some Kind of Wonderful movie with two songs, but split up before an album was completed. 25 years later they reformed, touring the UK and USA, and at last completed their first album, Made Glorious, via a well oversubscribed Pledge Music c&aign in 2013. Fans got access to a very limited CD and download, but sadly events conspired to stop a planned vinyl production. It peaked in the UK charts at number 3, where it stayed for three weeks, while skinheads turned glam rockers Slade’s “Cum On Feel The Noize remained at number 1, and the number 2 slot was occupied by The Faces “Cindy Incidentally” and then Donny Osmond “The Twelfth Of Neverbull “20th Century Boy” returned to the UK Top 20 in August 1991, peaking at number 13 after being used in a TV ad for Levis starring Brad Pitt the one where he’s being released from prison. The song has been covered by Def Leppard and Siouxsie & The Banshees, amongst others.bull Neither “20th Century Boy” or its B side “Free Angel” appeared on the “ album, released three weeks later.
