Ennio Morricone’s music is essentially popbased most cues are variations around a simple theme that goes up and down a scale, often with drum or guitar backing. Highlight performance comes in “Ricordo del Padre”, with a gorgeous fluumlgelhorn solo. Also of particular note is “Tre anni fa una sera” try saying that after a night on the town, a beautiful stringandwoodwind theme that perfectly captures the movie’s theme of longing for love in probably mistaken circumstances. A Cafeacute Del Mar type electronic music record, consisting of downtempo lounge and uptempo club songs. To make the score more authentic, Holkenborg used only equipment available in the ‘90s to make the music, much of which he played himself. All that, including the club music culture and everything that was happening to the alternative world, needed to be part of the score.This is a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on Mediterranean blue vinyl.
