Diecut sleeve.Limited to 500 copiesAs soon as it became apparent that Symposium were going to release a Best Of album 2022s Do You Remember How It Was, we knew that it was almost inevitable there would have to be a followup companion piece, which now arrives in the shape of Keeping The Secret, offering fourteen of the most special bsides and rarities carefully curated and compiled in one place.Keeping The Secret began to take shape when Symposiums entire archive of recorded output comprising over 800 pieces of DATs, CDs, cassettes, original master tapes and videos was somehow miraculously located untouched and gathering dust in a small room at Warner Brothers archive warehouse.All of these Bsides were recorded in a white hot fervour in various studios across London, with whatever tools, producers and studios were available, inbetween the excitement of tours, TV appearances and single releases. Sometimes they were a way of realising existing songs that the band desperately wanted to capture on tape, and other times it was a way of experimenting and letting loose.The album comprises fan and band favourites, including songs never before available on vinyl or digital. We know how much some of these songs mean to our fans often more than single and album tracks so we knew this had to be special.Previously only available on a limitededition vinyl single, I Like To opens the album an explosion of punk intent, its one of the first songs the band ever wrote and played together, and also opened the demo tape sent to London venues to get the band their first gigs in 1995.Easily Scared is possibly the oldest fan favourite of the bunch, and was screamed into the void of a hundred toilet venues around the country before anyone knew who Symposium were. The title came about when one of Wojteks old work bosses at W.H.Smiths accused him of being easily scared, and Wojtek determined then and there to quit his job and never get another one.A song created when Hagop locked himself in the control room of the studio with all of the acoustic guitars he could muster, Mairamout meaning sunset in Armenian brings the album to a suitably reflective and emotional end.From the American hardcore infused Ode To The Frogs, the epic widescreen rock of Serenade The Idiot, the psychopathic Jim referencing Ross and Wojteks obsession with The Doors, nods to Nirvana Cartwheels and Iron Maiden Fluorescent, to the final song in a ska trilogy of songs whose titles feature nowhere in their lyrics Carnival the others being Puddles and Fizzy, everything a Symposium fan could want is all here in one place for the first time. Black Vinyl Vinyl Records Black Vinyl Doctor Who Originally released on black vinyl in May 2020, there is a very limited number of orange vinyl available, part of an edition originally produced exclusively for the German market.The Sun Makers written by Robert Holmes aired in November and December of 1977 with Tom Baker as the Doctor and is set on a taxcrippled planet Pluto.Along with trusty assistant Leela and faithful K9, he exposes the corrupt Company, defeating the Collector and freeing the population from financial misery.Composer Dudley Simpson 19222017 wrote prolifically for the BBC, producing hundreds of soundtracks for Doctor Who, The Tomorrow People, Blake’s Seven and many others.The Sun Makers was scored for just six musicians and recorded, for the main part, live in the studio. However, such is the musicianship of the players,several of whom where multiinstrumentalists, the resulting sound is much bigger. The sleeve includes full notes by Mark Ayres.

The release continues the reissue programme of Toyah’s entire Safari Records catalogue. Produced by the acclaimed Steve Lillywhite , the album features a lineup of Toyah Willcox vocals, Joel Bogen guitar, the late Phil Spalding bass and the revered Simon Phillips drums. The album also features guest synthesizers keyboards from Andy Clark David Bowie ’s ‘Scary Monsters And Super Creeps’, member of BeBop Deluxe and Simon Darlow . The brass section from Haircut 100 also feature on ‘Street Creature’. ‘The Changeling’ is the darker, more grownup sequel to the previous year’s goldselling album ‘Anthem’. ‘The Changeling’ entered the UK Top 40 in June 1982, peaking at number six, it spent 12 weeks on the chart was awarded a silver sales certification. The album was preceded by the single ‘Brave New World’, which was accompanied by a David Mallet directed video recalling Bowie’s solarised ‘Ashes To Ashes’ promo, but with Toyah’s unique and memorable hair, makeup and performance. The album also includes the muchloved fan favourite ‘Angel & Me’, the dramatic, horror movieesque ‘The Packt’ and irresistibly melodic, rallying cry of ‘Dawn Chorus’. ‘The Changeling’ has been remastered by Nick Watson from the original master tapes and approved by Joel Bogen, and further endorsed by Steve Lillywhite.
