Julian Cope’s second album of 1984 Never repressed in its original format, this reissue faithfully replicates the original Mercury Records UK release with poster, and is pressed onto high quality 180g vinyl Fried is one of Julian Cope’s boldest. It made many think that after a while teetering on the edge, Julian Cope had finally tipped over into an artistic madness, &lified by his wearing a turtle shell and staring at a toy van on a landscaped spoil tip in Warwickshire on the album’s sleeve. Opening track Reynard The Fox added to it all, a sixminute psychedelic garage rock tourdeforce, breaking down to a Cope monologue where he gravely intones English folk tales from his vantage point, referring also to an onstage stomachslashing incident from 1983. Sunspots, the sole single taken from the album, is one of his greatest recordings in a career that spans over 40 years. Fried is up there with some of the very best works of the singular British eccentric.

Waterloo To Anywhere was the debut album from the shortlived, briefly adored Dirty Pretty Things Originally released on Vertigo Records in May 2006, the album reached No 3 in the UK charts and spawned three Top 40 singles This reissue is pressed on highquality 180g black vinyl.What do you do after being in the Libertines, one of the most notorious British bands of the early 21st Century For Carl Bart, you form Dirty Pretty Things, something of an indie supergroup of their moment. Joining Bart was Libertines drummer Gary Powell, guitarist Anthony Rossomando, who’d stood in for Doherty, and former Cooper Temple Clause bassist, Didz Hammond.Leading Waterloo To Anywhere was the infectious UK Top 5 hit Bang Bang You’re Dead better known in recent years as live favourite for The Mighty Olafs, which set the tone for the fabulous collection of rock, punk and ska. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Dave Sardy and then later in Glasgow with Tony Doogan, the album showed the strength of the group’s writing. Away from the standard highoctane indie of Gin & Milk and You Fcking Love It, The Gentry Cove was particularly captivating, marrying Bart’s fascinating wordplay with robust Clash reggaesea shanty interludes.Two years later, it was all over Bart and Powell rejoined the Libertines and Rossomando later going on to win an Oscar for cowriting Shallow from the film A Star Is Born.

Dream Harder is the sixth studio album by The Waterboys, released in 1993. Scottish singersongwriter and bandmember Mike Scott produced the album together with acclaimed producer Bill Price, which resulted in a return to the rockbased sound. The song Love And Death was an arrangement of a poem by the Irish poet William Butler Yeats, The Return Of Jimi Hendrix a tribute to the famous guitarist, and other songs contain references to prehistorical religion. Singles from the album were The Return Of Pan and Glastonbury Song. The album peaked at 5 in the UK Albums chart, reached several European charts and the US Billboard 200. Dream Harder is being reissued for the first time since its original release and includes an insert.

On July 23, 1968, Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention took over the Whisky a Go Go for an allnight affair. FZ recorded the entire evening with the possibility of an album project. Although bits and pieces were released by Zappa over the years, a full live album never happened, and the tapes sat in the Vault for 55 years.
