The Liberty Of Norton Folgate 2LP Heavyweight Vinyl by Madness
The Liberty of Norton Folgate is the ninth studio album from Madness and widely considered to be their magnum opus. Originally released in May 2009, and taking nearly three years to make, the record was the first with the full band since 1999s Wonderful and was developed as a concept album about the bands home town. The ten minute long title track tells the history of a part of East London Norton Folgate, near Spitalfields which, for a period, remained free from the Crowns ruling and was therefore referred to as a liberty, where normal rules of city life did not apply. The album finds the band in full creative flow, with song after song including the tracks that didnt make it onto the standard CD or LP release showcasing the maturity and depth of their songwriting prowess. Includes the singles NW5, Dust Devil Forever Young and Sugar and Spice and this extended 2LP version features seven bonus tracks. Available on heavyweight vinyl in gatefold packaging, and featuring exclusive new liner notes containing interviews with Suggs, Lee Thompson, Chrissyboy Foreman, Daniel Woodgate and Mike Barson, as well as an exclusive poem by Cathal Smyth.

Mad Not Mad Heavyweight Vinyl by Madness
‘Mad Not Mad’ is the sixth studio album by Madness. Originally released in September 1985, it marked a departure from the band’s original lineup, with keyboard player Mike Barson taking a break from the group after an astonishingly successful run of five hit albums in as many years. Stylewise ‘Mad Not Mad’ presented a more polished side of Madness and contains some of their most sophisticated and political songwriting. The first single, ‘Yesterday’s Men’ finds the band in a smooth, reflective mood, dealing with the dispossessed characters in and around Camden Town, and ‘Sweetest Girl’ is a cover of the iconic Scritti Politti track, while ‘Uncle Sam’ is a classic Madness romp relayed through the narrative of a soldier’s experiences during World War II.

Keep Moving Heavyweight Vinyl by Madness

The album reached No. 6 in the UK Albums Chart and features the fan favourite ‘Victoria Gardens’ plus the singles ‘Michael Caine’ and ‘One Better Day’, both of which reached the UK Singles Chart Top 20.

The Madness Heavyweight Vinyl by Madness
The Madness, originally released in May 1988, is the only album recorded by Suggs, Chas Smash, Chrissy Boy and Lee Thompson of Madness. Calling themselves “The Madness”, the group explored a new direction without Mike Barson, Woody and Mark Bedford. The result was an album bathed in all the new technology the late 1980s had to offer, and features some of this incarnation of Madness’ most experimental work. This LP reissue is pressed on 180g black vinyl and features brand new liner notes by Chrissy Boy, Chas Smash and Lee Thompson.
