Seven Turns is the ninth studio album by The Allman Brothers Band, released in 1990. Their first studio album since Brothers of the Road in 1981, it was wellreceived, and peaked at 53. This is the Allman Brothers Band’ s comeback album, and their best Bluesbased outing since Idlewild South that restored a lot of their reputation. That meant 18 months of fallow – heartbreaking stuff for a band who’ ve known nothing else in their adult lives. “At one point we were actually so disillusioned with what had happened, we didnt even know if we wanted to get back into the band anymore,” says Ryan. Fast forward 3 years and Night Network is as fresh, cathartic and vital as anything they’ ve ever put out. Highlight performance comes in “Ricordo del Padre”, with a gorgeous fluumlgelhorn solo. Also of particular note is “Tre anni fa una sera” try saying that after a night on the town, a beautiful stringandwoodwind theme that perfectly captures the movie’ s theme of longing for love in probably mistaken circumstances.
