Toyah on Gold VinylGold Vinyl from Toyah is available for home delivery with Vinyl Records London, only £23 +P&P Produced by Nick Tauber, with arrangements by the band and Toyah, the album features a lineup that saw Toyah Willcox and Joel Bogen joined by Nigel Glockler, Phil Spalding and Adrian Lee. Anthem was a big commercial success, reaching number two in the UK Top 40 album chart in May 1981. It spent 46 weeks on the album chart and was awarded a Gold album sales certification. The album followed two Top Ten hit singles, It s A Mystery 4 and I Want To Be Free 8 both of which feature on Anthem entering the public mainstream through radio playand appearances on BBC s legendary weekly music TV programme Top Of The Pops. It s A Mystery and I Want To Be Free have become iconic and wellloved hit singles of the 1980s.The album also includes the anthemic We Are and the atmospheric Jungles Of Jupiter , both classics that have remained in Toyah s live set to this today. Toyah will embark on a 40th Anniversary Anthem tour beginning September 2022 to coincide with this special reissue.
