Featuring the classic lineup of Jeff Beck, Keith Relf, Jim McCarty, Chris Dreja, and Paul SamwellSmith, the group explored explosive new sonic territories, pushing their bluesrock sound into the realms of the avantgarde, psychedelia and Indian music. This new edition has been expertly cut from the original stereo tapes using precision halfspeed mastering by Cicely Balston at AIR Mastering.Pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl, featuring an obi strip and housed in a polylined inner sleeve. Also includes a 4page booklet with extensive liner notes by David French based on interviews with Jimmy Page, Paul SamwellSmith, Jim McCarty and Simon NapierBell.
Heavyweight vinyl is pressed on thicker, denser material—typically weighing 180 grams or more. This added weight offers improved durability, reduced warping, and is often believed to provide better sound quality due to more stable playback. Many audiophile releases, reissues, and deluxe editions are pressed on heavyweight vinyl, making it a popular choice among collectors and music enthusiasts who value both performance and longevity. While it doesn’t automatically guarantee superior audio, its solid, premium feel and association with high-quality production standards have made it a trusted format for serious vinyl fans.
Vinyl records are a timeless format that continues to captivate music lovers with their warm, analogue sound. Unlike digital formats, vinyl offers a rich, textured listening experience that many argue feels more authentic and immersive. With their larger artwork and tangible presence, records bring a sense of nostalgia and artistry to any music collection.
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the world of vinyl, records have a unique ability to connect listeners to music on a deeper level. Their physical grooves and the ritual of placing a needle on a spinning disc create a tactile and engaging experience. From classic albums to modern releases, vinyl remains a cherished way to enjoy music.
