Vinyl Records London are on cloud nine, we are now spinning in a brand new copy in White Vinyl from Shaw’s Trailer Park Itrsquos June 2022. After months of rehearsing, Tim Sanpher decided to take the band into Brighton Road Recording Studio for a weekend.Having yet to play a gig he was interested to hear how theyrsquod respond to being put on the spot and wanted to give them something to focus on. With the very late addition of a second guitarist they set up and recorded nine songs live in one afternoon. Only the vocals would be replaced the following day.The recording was purely for posterity and there had been no plans to release it yet…on hearing the roughly mixed playback it was already obvious…theyrsquod captured something special. Something more than just the five members combined. It was a true ldquolightning in the bottlerdquo moment. It was clear that Shawrsquos Trailer Park had its own individual sound and character. And here are those recordings captured on album for the first timePunchy rocking workouts like Donrsquot Do That and Shersquos Alright sit alongside live favourites psych workouts Sun Device and Rainbow Man.And just to prove they can be melodic when they like…the chiming guitar driven pop of Crash Landing and Restraint.Solid rhythm foundations provide the landscape for dual guitar duelling, and just when you think therersquos no more a saxophone joins the party to add a new twistAmbiguous lyrics keep you wondering…whatrsquos this all about Therersquos something going on in there..but itrsquos a little different for each listener.Lovers of hard blues and psychedelia will recognise STP as kindred spirits, but their inspired playing, multiple influences and high energy easily attracts listeners way beyond these genres
