Description

After the great success of BLACKOUT and tours through Europe, Asia and America, the Scorpions went into the studio in spring 1983 to start recording LOVE AT FIRST STING. The goal from the beginning was to top the success of BLACKOUT. They succeeded, because LOVE AT FIRST STING became the most successful album in the bands long career and produced classics like Still Loving You, Rock You Like A Hurricane and Big City Nights, which are still the highlights of every Scorpions concert. With Still Loving You they cemented their reputation as masters of the soulful rock ballad and sold over two million singles in France alone. Rock You Like A Hurricane is, together with The Zoo, the Scorpions most frequently played live song and features monster riffs paired with intricate guitar playing and Klaus Meines unmistakable vocals. Both the legendary cover photo of the hugging couple and the black and white band photo released in the US were taken by iconic photographer Helmut Newton. The album entered the Top 10 in many countries and reached number 6 in the Billboard Charts in the USA. LOVE AT FIRST STING is now released as a 180g 1LP, pressed on silver vinyl. Scorpions Vinyl is available for home delivery from Vinyl Records London, only £25
