Description

TRNA are the pioneers of celestial blackgaze. This incredible blackened postrock 3piece from Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation formed after the breakup of postblack band PrincPersii. Andrey Novozhilov guitar and Timur Yusupov drums were joined by Anton Gataullin bass shortly after forming the band and had their first rehearsal as a trio in November, 2013.Istok translates from Russian as the origin, beginning, headspring. The original idea was about the fountain. For the band personally it symbolizes a new beginning and going back to where they started in some sense at the same time. Its the beginning of a new path that we are yet to follow. Its is about how one looks differently at his past and future after feeling this great connection with nature. This theme continues from their previous album Earthcult 2018Also the overarching concept of the album is nothingness in some sort of Buddhist sense the absolute inner peace. We travel the road from everyday struggles towards this nothingness, our inner Istok and our music is a product of this journey. Meditativeness is the big part. Its like we are looking at the great view and appreciating its beauty but instead of seeing it with our eyes we look inside ourselves. We just translate this beauty that is inside every one of us into music and hope that others can feel the same way.
