Songs To Learn And Sing Heavyweight Vinyl
On February 18th, Echo amp The Bunnymenrsquos first bestof compilation Songs To Learn And Sing will be back on vinyl for the first time since its original release in 1985. The album is a comprehensive collection of the bandrsquos first four albums, from their second single Rescue, to The Cutter and the anthemic The Killing Moon. It also includes Bring On The Dancing Horses, originally released in conjunction with Songs To Learn amp Sing back in 1985. It arrives back on vinyl as Echo amp The Bunnymen go back on tour to celebrate 40 years of magical songs throughout 2022.Echo amp The Bunnymen were formed in Liverpool in 1978 with Ian McCulloch on vocals and rhythm guitar, Will Sergeant on lead guitar and Les Pattinson on bass. They were soon joined by Pete De Freitas on drums and the rest, as they say, is history. By the time of Songs To Learn amp Sing original release the band were a force to be reckoned with, pioneering the postpunk, new wave scene with four highly acclaimed studio albums.

The Eagles will take the stage once again this Sunday 22nd August at Madison Square Garden to resume their acclaimed ldquoHotel Californiardquo 2021 Tour. In celebration of the band being back on the road, Rhino will release LIVE AT THE FORUM rsquo76, featuring 10 songs recorded in the autumn of 1976, just prior to the release of Hotel California. LIVE AT THE FORUM rsquo76 will be available on 12th November as a 2LP set on 180gram vinyl. The tracks will be making their vinyl debut, as they were previously only available on CD and digitally as part of 2017rsquos ldquo40th Anniversary Editionrdquo of Hotel California. The live music takes up three LP sides while the final one features an exclusive etching of the artwork.nbspLIVE AT THE FORUM rsquo76 was recorded during the bandrsquos threenight run at the Los Angeles Forum in October 1976. The show took place as the group was putting the finishing touches on Hotel California, which would be released that December. The concert recording captures some of the very first live performances of ldquoHotel Californiardquo and ldquoNew Kid In Town.rdquo During the show, the band also play hits from earlier albums with ldquoTake It Easyrdquo from the bandrsquos 1972 selftitled debut ldquoAlready Gonerdquo from 1974rsquos On the Border and the 1 title track from 1975rsquos One of These Nights. The concert also includes a raucous performance of ldquoFunk 49,rdquo a song originally recorded by Walshrsquos James Gang.nbspThe Forum concert presents a snapshot of the band right before Hotel California became a critical and commercial phenomenon.
