THE SELECTERsdebut album Too Much Pressure was originally released in February 1980, to critical acclaim and launched the band onto the world stage.Releasing their debut release was the AA side with The Special AKAs Gangsters, which launched Jerrys Dammers 2 tone Record label in the summer of 1979. At the time the band only consisted of Neol Davies and John Bradbury later of The Specials before quickly forming a full band by the summer of 1979. They released the follow up single, On My Radio, which reached No. 6 in the UK charts before releasing their debut album in February 1980. Three further hit singles were released in 1980, Three Minute Hero, Missing Words and The Whisper039.This new Deluxe Edition of Too Much Pressure has been expanded to a 3CD set. CD1 contains a new remaster of the original album. CD2 collects all the nonalbum singles, bsides, John Peel session and some previously unreleased rarities. CD3 features a newly mixed concert recorded at Tiffanys in Coventry on the Two Tone Tour in November 1979, along with some tracks recorded in 1980.This has been packaged in a clamshell box set with a 20 page booklet featuring new liner notes from Daniel Rachel, including interviews with band members and the producers involved.
