Description

Something Else By The Kinks, expands The Kinks accomplishments, offering 13 classic British pop songs. These offerings focus on more nostalgic and sentimental themes, retreating from the psychedelic and mod posturings that had dominated the rock world. Something Else sounds like nothing else from 1967. The Kinks change gear on this album, preferring acoustic ballads, music hall numbers, and tempered RampB to fullout guitar attacks. Part of the albums power lies in its calm music, since it provides an elegant support for Davies character portraits and vignettes. From the martial stomp of David Watts to the lovely, shimmering Waterloo Sunset, theres not a weak song on the record. And just as impressive is the emergence of Dave Davies as a songwriter. His Dylanesque Death of a Clown and bluesy rocker Love Me Till the Sun Shines hold their own against Rays masterpieces, and help make Something Else the endlessly fascinating album that it is.21 tracks, of which 8 are bonus tracks to the original album, including alternate versions.

Remastered

— Remastered editions are recordings that have been carefully enhanced using modern audio technology to improve clarity, balance, and overall sound quality. Working from the original master tapes or high-resolution sources, engineers refine the mix to bring out detail, depth, and dynamic range that may not have been fully realised in earlier pressings. Choose a remastered release if you want a cleaner, more defined listening experience while staying true to the original performance. Whether it’s a classic album given new life or a subtle sonic upgrade, remastered vinyl offers familiar music with renewed presence and precision..
