It was Modern Talking’ s final release before their split later in 1987. it reached 4 in the Spanish single chart and 30 in the German singles charts. The song is about a person who believes that the current lack of empathy and understanding may lead to a dystopian future in which feelings, including love, are illegal, and in which expressions of romance and humanity will be only a distant memory. The 12 ‘ In 100 Years… also features the Long Version Future Mix and Part 1 and Part 2. The maxisingle is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on silver marbled vinyl.
