Description

Bill Withers was an American singersongwriter and musician who performed from 1970 until 1985. He recorded several major hits, including ldquoLean on Merdquo, ldquoAinrsquot No Sunshinerdquo, ldquoUse Merdquo, ldquoJust the Two of Usrdquo, ldquoLovely Dayrdquo, and ldquoGrandmarsquos Handsrdquo. Withers has won three Grammy Awards and was nominated for four more. His life was the subject of the 2009 documentary film Still Bill. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.Withersrsquo fourth studio albumnbspMaking Musicnbspwas originally released in 1975 on Columbia Records. It possesses the same downtoearthiness and eye for ordinary day life as his former work. The overall sound is smoother than his previous albums, with a warm mellow soul sound that canrsquot be beat. The album includes his classic ldquoHello Like Beforerdquo, plus ldquoThe Best You Canrdquo, ldquoMake Love To Your Mindrdquo, ldquoPaint Your Pretty Picturerdquo, and ldquoDonrsquot You Want To Stayrdquo.
