Produced by Roger Bechirian, it reached 6 in the UK, the bandrsquos highest charting LP.Hypnotised was recorded at Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands, December 1979, and Eden Studios, London in January 1980. Only barely less perfect than the grouprsquos debut album, it contains 14 punky pop classics, with a slightly tougher and musically more sophisticated edge than the unfailingly sweetnatured debut.Packed with more flawless slices of adolescent frustration, the album includes the top ten single lsquoMy Perfect Cousinrsquo from March 1980 and lsquoWednesday Weekrsquo, which reached UK 11 three weeks later.In terms of chart sales, 1980 was the Undertones most successful year.
