Description

Guillermo Portabales has become one of the greatest names in Cuban music, sharing stages with Joseiacuteto Fernandez, Celina y Reutilio, Barbarito Diez and Beny Moreacute. His music was hugely influential on the Cuban artists who came together as Buena Vista Social Club, and has spread as far as West Africa where his tunes, in particular El Carretero, have been widely covered by artists such as Cheikh Locirc, Africando, Etoile 2000 and Orchestra Baobab. This collection of his classic 60s recordings was originally compiled by World Circuit for release in 1996 and has now been remastered specially for this first ever LP release, alongside new CD amp Digital formats.

Official Band Merchandise

This section brings together products associated with artists and bands, including clothing, accessories, books, CDs, box sets and other music-related items. The exact mix reflects how each product is classified in the catalogue, so use the title and full listing details to confirm whether an item is apparel, recorded music or a bundle. Some products combine merchandise with music or artwork. Browse by artist or use the more specific categories and tags, then check each product page for size options, formats, contents and availability.

Official CDs

Browse music releases listed on compact disc, including albums, singles, live recordings and selected special editions. Some products contain more than one CD or bundle a disc with vinyl, a book, a DVD or merchandise. The category identifies the CD collection but does not imply a particular genre or edition. Check each product page for disc count, tracklist, packaging and included extras. Product details and availability are specific to each listing and can change as the catalogue is updated. Check product notes for edition-specific extras.
