Description

Venom are an English extreme metal band formed in 1979 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Coming to prominence towards the end of the new wave of British heavy metal, Venom039s first two albumsWelcome to Hell 1981 and Black Metal 1982are considered a major influence on thrash metal and extreme metal in general. Venom039s second album proved influential enough that its title was used as the name of the extreme metal subgenre of black metal. The band classic lineup trio of Cronos, Mantas and Abaddon recorded two further studio albums At War With Satan 1984 and Possessed 1985 and live album Eine Kleine Nachtmusik 1986. Often cited by bands such as Metallica, Behemoth, Celtic Frost and Mayhem as major influences, they are one of the most revered bands of their generation. Venom are still fronted by original singerbassist Cronos and headline festivals all over the globe and continue to release new music. This silver and black splatter vinyl is to celebrate the 40 th Anniversary of Black Metal. LIMITED TO 1500 COPIES IN THE UK.

Official Black Vinyl

The Black Vinyl category groups records whose product listings identify a black pressing. Browse this colour option across the current music catalogue, including single records, multi-disc editions and bundles where available. Colour describes the pressing specified by the product listing; it does not identify the genre, sound quality or number of discs. Some releases combine shades or use effects such as splatter, swirl or marble. Check each product page for the format, disc count, weight, edition and included items, then confirm availability on the listing.

Official Vinyl Records

Vinyl Records are at the heart of what we do, from brand new releases to classic pressings that never lose their pull. You’ll find albums across rock, indie, electronic, punk, metal, hip-hop and beyond, alongside reissues, limited editions and coloured vinyl where available. Whether you’re crate-digging for something familiar or discovering a record for the first time, everything here is chosen for people who actually listen, not just collect. Alongside vinyl, our store brings together official band merchandise and music culture essentials in one place. That means band t-shirts, hoodies, posters, accessories and select collectibles, all sitting naturally alongside the records they belong with. It’s a space built for music fans — the kind who care about artwork, sound, and the stories behind it — whether you’re buying your next favourite record or something to wear, hang, or keep that connects you to the music you love.
