There was acclaim from the press, who were intrigued by the album’s introspective lyrics and production, which were in stark contrast to the prevailing Britpop sound and brash ‘Cool Britannia’ Britpop attitude.NME picked ‘Child Psychology’ as one of the album’s highlights “The pitchblack heart of the project is Child Psychology, a splendidly bored account of a childhood spent mute and dissenting, hating for hates sake. Its easily the antisingle of the year.”‘England Made Me’ continues to attract fans and inspire artists the above mentioned ‘Child Psychology’ recently came back into the spotlight when Billie Eilish ch&ioned it on social media. It’s now all over TikTok.
