Gritty Detroit group formed in 1969, 100 Proof could be seen as soulrsquos equivalent to the lsquosupergroupsrsquo boasting two of the most distinctive voices of 1960s soul lead vocalists Joe Stubbs singing for the Falcons, the Contours and the Originals and Clyde Wilson as ldquoSteve Manchardquo and established solo artist.This is the groups second and final album released in 1972 on HollandDozierHollandrsquos label Hot Wax Records. The group broke up the following year.It reached 40 in the RampB charts and features the single lsquoEverything Good Is Badrsquo and the other stand out track is lsquoDonrsquot Scratch Where It Donrsquot Itchrsquo.Reissued with original artwork, printed inner sleeve on classic black vinyl.
