Description

In celebration of legendary progrock band Emerson, Lake amp Palmerrsquos 50th anniversary, BMG are releasing lsquoBlack Moonrsquo as a limited edition Picture Disc vinyl.Formed in 1970, Emerson, Lake amp Palmer were torchbearers of the progressive rock sound and one of rockrsquos first supergroups. The worldconquering, stadiumfilling prog giants helped to broaden the audience for the genre from hundreds of thousands into tens of millions and were one the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1970s.Their first 7 album releases all made the U.K. albums chart top 10 and U.S. top 20. Black Moon is ELPrsquos eighth studio album. It was released in 1992 when the band reformed after 14 years, having splitup after their previous album, lsquoLove Beachrsquo in 1978, and represents a real return to form. The music is a strippeddown, ampedup, more mainstream rock format, though in many places retaining the feel of their 70s prog epics. Expertly remastered in 2017 by celebrated rock studio engineer Andy Pearce.nbsp

Browse products identified as picture disc releases. A picture disc uses artwork on the record itself, and some catalogue entries may include one as part of a larger set or bundle. Product details vary by title, format and edition; the category does not imply a particular disc count or pressing specification. Check the listing for the exact contents, record size, tracklist and packaging. Use the product page to confirm availability and any additional items supplied with the release. Details differ across editions.

Official Vinyl Records

Vinyl Records are at the heart of what we do, from brand new releases to classic pressings that never lose their pull. You’ll find albums across rock, indie, electronic, punk, metal, hip-hop and beyond, alongside reissues, limited editions and coloured vinyl where available. Whether you’re crate-digging for something familiar or discovering a record for the first time, everything here is chosen for people who actually listen, not just collect. Alongside vinyl, our store brings together official band merchandise and music culture essentials in one place. That means band t-shirts, hoodies, posters, accessories and select collectibles, all sitting naturally alongside the records they belong with. It’s a space built for music fans — the kind who care about artwork, sound, and the stories behind it — whether you’re buying your next favourite record or something to wear, hang, or keep that connects you to the music you love.
