Description

Originally certified silver and featuring three UK Top Ten hits the 1 smash lsquoRespectablersquo, the club anthem lsquoShowing Outrsquo and the irresistible title cut lsquoF.L.M.rsquo is one of only two albums where every track boasts the songwriting and production talents of Stock Aitken Waterman the other being Donna Summer s lsquoAnother Place and Timersquo. In 1986, Cockney sisters Mel and Kim Appleby conquered clubs and charts worldwide with lsquoShowing Outrsquo a perfect pop hit now also acknowledged as the firstever British house record. lsquoRespectablersquo then became the very first SAW composition to top the UK charts. But in the summer of 1987, Mel was diagnosed with cancer and tragically passed away in January 1990, aged just 23. Later that year, Kim made her solo debut with the 2 smash lsquoDonrsquot Worryrsquo, and a further string of hits followed. More recently, she has graced the stage for Letrsquos Rock and Rewind festivals, and teamed up with Midge Ure for the acclaimed BBC series lsquoSmashing Hitsrsquo. Following a hugely popular Singles Box Set, we are delighted to continue working with Kim to honour the Mel amp Kim legacy.

Official 12 Inch Vinyl

Browse records identified as 12-inch vinyl, from albums and singles to extended mixes and box-set inclusions. The category is organised by the size stated in the catalogue, not by genre or pressing colour. Some listings may combine a 12-inch record with CDs, prints or other items. Use the product page to confirm disc count, speed, tracklist, edition, colour and package contents. These specifications vary from release to release, and the individual listing is the source for current availability. The catalogue may also pair records with companion formats.

Official Vinyl Records

Vinyl Records are at the heart of what we do, from brand new releases to classic pressings that never lose their pull. You’ll find albums across rock, indie, electronic, punk, metal, hip-hop and beyond, alongside reissues, limited editions and coloured vinyl where available. Whether you’re crate-digging for something familiar or discovering a record for the first time, everything here is chosen for people who actually listen, not just collect. Alongside vinyl, our store brings together official band merchandise and music culture essentials in one place. That means band t-shirts, hoodies, posters, accessories and select collectibles, all sitting naturally alongside the records they belong with. It’s a space built for music fans — the kind who care about artwork, sound, and the stories behind it — whether you’re buying your next favourite record or something to wear, hang, or keep that connects you to the music you love.
