Producer Teo Macero captured every note across seven sets on December 22 and 23, 1965. Portions trickled out in the 70s and 80s, but only in the early 90s did Legacy CD and Mosaic LP reveal the full scope of seven and half hours of revelatorymusicinstantly hailed as one of the greatest live jazz recordings ever, earning the Penguin Jazz Guides coveted Crown, and becoming pricey, secondarymarket rarities.
