Carole King is an American composer and singersongwriter. She is the most successful female songwriter of the latter 20th century, having written or co written 118 pop hits on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1955 and 1999. King also wrote 61 hits that charted in the UK, making her the most successful female songwriter on the UK singles charts between 1952 and 2005. She has won four Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for her songwriting. She is the recipient of the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, the first woman to be honored this way. The Living Room Tour is a live album by Carole King, originally released in 2005. It consists of live recordings of most of the songs from the album Tapestry. Her daughters Louise and Sherry and background singer and guitarist Gary Burr joined her on several songs. This album debuted at 17 in the US, becoming King’ s highestcharting album since 1977. The Living Room Tour is a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on green marbled vinyl and includes an 8page booklet.
