Description

Ministry strode the alternative music world like a colossus during the late lsquo80s and early lsquo90s, placing one huge foot in the domain of industrial music, then another in the domain of heavy metal. The albumrsquos title Animositisomina is a palindrome made of the word ldquoanimosityrdquo spelled without the final letter and both forward and backward. This album nods to the grouprsquos new wave past with a cover of Magazinersquos ldquoThe Light Pours out of Me,rdquo the group returned to the quality of its Wax Trax prime on this record, with an opener the title track that ranks up there with classics like ldquoBurning Insiderdquo and ldquoJust One Fix.rdquo Animositisomina is the last Ministry album with Paul Barker, thus ending the bandrsquos ldquoHypo LuxaHermes Panrdquo production duo.Animositisomina is available as a limited edition of 1500 individuallynbspnumbered copies on orange coloured vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve.

Official Vinyl Records

Vinyl Records are at the heart of what we do, from brand new releases to classic pressings that never lose their pull. You’ll find albums across rock, indie, electronic, punk, metal, hip-hop and beyond, alongside reissues, limited editions and coloured vinyl where available. Whether you’re crate-digging for something familiar or discovering a record for the first time, everything here is chosen for people who actually listen, not just collect. Alongside vinyl, our store brings together official band merchandise and music culture essentials in one place. That means band t-shirts, hoodies, posters, accessories and select collectibles, all sitting naturally alongside the records they belong with. It’s a space built for music fans — the kind who care about artwork, sound, and the stories behind it — whether you’re buying your next favourite record or something to wear, hang, or keep that connects you to the music you love.
