Stone Temple Pilots embraced experimentation and openmindedness to record the bandrsquos third album, 1996rsquos Tiny Music… Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop. Released 25 years ago on 26 th March 1996, the album is a pitch perfect amalgamation of the band membersrsquo musical personalities, yielding three US 1 hits ndash ldquoBig Bang Baby,rdquo ldquoLady Picture Show,rdquo and ldquoTrippinrsquo On A Hole In A Paper Heart.rdquo Rhino announces the upcoming release of a newly remastered version of Tiny Music… expanded with unreleased studio and live recordings. Tiny Musichellip Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop Super Deluxe Edition will be available on 23 rd July. The 3CD1 LP set includes a newly remastered version of the original studio album on both CD and 180g black vinyl, plus unreleased versions of early versions, instrumentals, and alternate takes along with a complete concert recording from 1997. Along with a newly remastered version of the original album, the Super Deluxe Edition features 15 unreleased tracks that pull back the curtain on the creative process. Those include early versions of nearly every song on the album with nascent incarnations of ldquoTumble In The Rough,rdquo ldquoPoprsquos Love Suiciderdquo and ldquoSeven Caged Tigers.rdquo The selections also feature an alternate take for ldquoBig Bang Baby,rdquo and a percussion mix of ldquoTrippinrsquo On A Hole In A Paper Heart.rdquo Therersquos also instrumentals for ldquoRide The Clicheacuterdquo and ldquoAdhesive,rdquo plus the unreleased ldquoKretzrsquos Acoustic Song.rdquo An exclusive feature of the Super Deluxe Edition is a previously unreleased live recording of the bandrsquos 14 th March 1997 concert in Panama City Beach, Florida. STP is dialled in from start to finish, delivering blistering takes of songs from the new album ldquoTumble In The Roughrdquo and ldquoBig Bang Babyrdquo, as well as hits from their earlier records ldquoVasoline,rdquo ldquoPlushrdquo and ldquoInterstate Love Song.rdquo
