Bad Weathers Black History Month Vinyl. This Month Vinyl is in stock. For more check out all the official Vivian Weathers merchandise & vinyl available for home delivery with Vinyl Records London, only £30 +P&P Reissue of the superb album by Vivian Weathers, for Black Story Campaign 2023.Released in 1978 on Virgin Records spinoff reggae label Front Line, sadly the only album made by this gifted singersongwriter, who played bass on Linton Kwesi Johnsons albums.Remastered at Abbey Road and featuring enhanced artwork and period photos. Also includes a bonus 12 mix of single Hip Hug.Long out of print on vinyl.Vivian was a talented singersongwriter who never realised his full potential. Leroy Smarts popular Pride and Ambition was written by Vivian, but he was not even credited on the record. When I decided to make reggae recordings of my poetry, it was Vivian who showed me how to go about it. He played bass on my first three albums, Dread Beat An Blood, Forces of Victory and Bass Culture.I introduced him to Virgin Records and he recorded his first album, Bad Weathers, which was released in 1978. When I moved to Island Records, I also secured a deal for him to record an album with them. Two singles were released by Island but the album, which I had helped to produce, was never put out. Vivian never got the break he deserved in the music business. Linton Kwesi Johnson

Vinyl

Vinyl records are a timeless format that continues to captivate music lovers with their warm, analogue sound. Unlike digital formats, vinyl offers a rich, textured listening experience that many argue feels more authentic and immersive. With their larger artwork and tangible presence, records bring a sense of nostalgia and artistry to any music collection.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the world of vinyl, records have a unique ability to connect listeners to music on a deeper level. Their physical grooves and the ritual of placing a needle on a spinning disc create a tactile and engaging experience. From classic albums to modern releases, vinyl remains a cherished way to enjoy music.
