Description

Although the 1970s opened with Hollywood experiencing a financial and artistic depression, the decade became a creative high point in the US film industry. Movies like Hair, Midnight Express, Tommy, Emanuelle, Rock N Roll High School and blaxploitation films such as Foxy Brown, Shaft changed the restrictions on language, adult content, sexuality, and these elements became more widespread. Featured on 70s Movie Collected are 31 tracks from that era, which include artists and groups such as Giorgio Moroder, Paul McCartney amp Wings, James Brown, Bob Dylan, Mike Oldfield, Diana Ross, Isaac Hayes, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson amongst others. This film music compilation album is part of the Collected compilation series, which is a collaboration between Universal Music and Music On Vinyl. The compilations bring together the biggest and best names of its genre, combined with forgotten hits and less discovered gems, giving the listener an experience of both nostalgia and uncovering new musical grounds at the same time. 70s Movie Hits Collected is available as a limited edition of 2000 copies on pink LP 1 and yellow LP 2 coloured vinyl. This 2LPset includes an insert with photos and credits. Various Artists Vinyl is available for home delivery from Vinyl Records London, only £33 +P&P

Vinyl

Vinyl records are a timeless format that continues to captivate music lovers with their warm, analogue sound. Unlike digital formats, vinyl offers a rich, textured listening experience that many argue feels more authentic and immersive. With their larger artwork and tangible presence, records bring a sense of nostalgia and artistry to any music collection.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the world of vinyl, records have a unique ability to connect listeners to music on a deeper level. Their physical grooves and the ritual of placing a needle on a spinning disc create a tactile and engaging experience. From classic albums to modern releases, vinyl remains a cherished way to enjoy music.
