The latest title from thenbspToyahnbspSafari Records catalogue the longawaited lsquoToyah Live At TheRainbowrsquo.This newly remastered and expanded release is the fifth in the Toyah reissue programme.Celebrating the muchloved February 1981 concert at North Londonrsquos legendary RainbowTheatre, this hotly anticipated title marks the first time ever the concert audio has been releasednbspon vinyl.At the time, the Toyah band had seen a new lineup with Willcox and Joel Bogen joined bynbspNigelnbspGlockler, Phil SpaldingnbspandnbspAdrian Lee. In February 1981, the lead track lsquoItrsquos A Mysteryrsquo, from thenbspEP lsquoFour From Toyahrsquo, rose up through the charts and following an appearance on BBCrsquosnbspTop OfnbspThe Pops, saw the band lsquoToyahrsquo crossover to mainstream singles chart success. This concert,nbsporiginally due to take place at the Lyceum, was upgraded to the Rainbow following the EPrsquossuccess and demand for tickets.Safari Records decided to record this unique moment in history as the band were ascending to greaternbspfame and recognition, and before theyrsquod recorded an album to follow the success of lsquoItrsquos a mystery.lsquoToyah Live At The Rainbowrsquo includes the classic tracks lsquoItrsquos A Mysteryrsquo, lsquoWar Boysrsquo, lsquoAngels ampDemonsrsquo, lsquoRace Through Spacersquo, lsquoDancedrsquo and lsquoIeyarsquo.The previously unreleased concert audio is released here for the first time ever on vinyl and featuresnbsp16 songs of which four were not previously heard on the original VHS release.
