The Primitives emerged from the UK independent music scene of the mid1980s, with a sound that distilled the shimmering guitar chime of The Byrds, the buzzsaw style of The Ramones and 60s girl group melodies into twoandahalfminute pop gems. After topping the indie singles chart several times, their widely acclaimed first album, Lovely, made them one of the UKs most revered alternative rock acts, while the international success of the single Crash saw them cross over to a mass audience. Further chart success followed, along with two more studio albums, Pure and Galore, plus extensive tours of Europe and the US, before the band called it a day in 1992. The band were reunited in 2009. The Best Of The Primitives is available on vinyl for the first time and features the hit singles Crash, Put Of Reach, Way Behind Me, Sick Of It, Secrets and many more classic hits. The Best Of The Primitives is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on translucent red coloured vinyl. The package includes an insert with extensive liner notes and background info. The Primitives Vinyl is available for home delivery from Vinyl Records London, only £38 +P&P
