For more check out all the official Sparks merchandise & vinyl available for home delivery with Vinyl Records London, only £22 +P&P Sparks seminal Kimono My House album was released on the 1st May 1974 on Island Records and is widely considered to be the groups commercial breakthrough and one of their most memorable outings. Met with widespread acclaim, Kimono My House would spawn the groups biggest UK single This Town Aint Big Enough For The Both Of Us which peaked at No.4 in the UK singles charts.Produced by Mervyn Muff Winwood and recorded in the UK with a venerable lineup of British musicians Martin Gordonbass, Adrian Fisherguitar and Norman Dinky Diamonddrums, the album slotted into the contemporary popularity of glam rock, situating itself stylistically within the experimental and electronically led auspices of the likes of Roxy Music and David Bowie circa 74.While the brotherhood of Ron and Russell is undoubtedly the driving force behind Sparks, their infallible backing band should certainly not be forgotten. Kimono My House is undoubtedly one of the greatest albums to arise from the art rock scene of the 1970s. Ben Forrest Far OutPressed on Caramel Apple green coloured vinyl

Vinyl

Vinyl records are a timeless format that continues to captivate music lovers with their warm, analogue sound. Unlike digital formats, vinyl offers a rich, textured listening experience that many argue feels more authentic and immersive. With their larger artwork and tangible presence, records bring a sense of nostalgia and artistry to any music collection.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the world of vinyl, records have a unique ability to connect listeners to music on a deeper level. Their physical grooves and the ritual of placing a needle on a spinning disc create a tactile and engaging experience. From classic albums to modern releases, vinyl remains a cherished way to enjoy music.
