Originally released in 1996, Warm Nights repositioned Roberts standing as one of the great songwriters of the postpunk era. Robert recalls that producer Edwyn Collins got the intended sound of the album completely a dry lowend groove pitched somewhere between Creedence Clearwater Revival and Willie Mitchells early 70s Hi Records work.The 2024 reissue is something of a Directors Cut featuring a previously unreleased brass version of Fortress the original album version is included on the bonus 7 , 039Half The Way Home replaces Rock n Roll Friend also on the bonus 7.
