For more check out all the official Paul Young merchandise & vinyl available for home delivery with Vinyl Records London, only £38 +P&P Other Voices is a studio album by English singer Paul Young. The gold certified album was originally released in 1990 and peaked at 4 on the UK Albums Chart. Other Voices combines cover versions with original songs and includes the singles Calling You, Softly Whispering I Love You and Heaven Can Wait. On this album, Paul Young collaborates with many wellknown musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Nile Rodgers, Steve Winwood, Dave Gilmour and Anne Dudley. In 2012, a deluxe expanded edition of the album was released on CD. This vinyl release of Other Voices presents this expanded edition for the very first time available on vinyl, including 10 bonus tracks containing 12 mixes, Bsides and live performances. This release does not include the track Trying To Guess The Rest, but instead includes a live performance track of the song Thats What Christmas Means To Me. Other Voices Expanded Edition is available on vinyl for the first time as a 35th anniversary edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on silver coloured vinyl and includes an insert.
Heavyweight vinyl is pressed on thicker, denser material—typically weighing 180 grams or more. This added weight offers improved durability, reduced warping, and is often believed to provide better sound quality due to more stable playback. Many audiophile releases, reissues, and deluxe editions are pressed on heavyweight vinyl, making it a popular choice among collectors and music enthusiasts who value both performance and longevity. While it doesn’t automatically guarantee superior audio, its solid, premium feel and association with high-quality production standards have made it a trusted format for serious vinyl fans.
Vinyl records are a timeless format that continues to captivate music lovers with their warm, analogue sound. Unlike digital formats, vinyl offers a rich, textured listening experience that many argue feels more authentic and immersive. With their larger artwork and tangible presence, records bring a sense of nostalgia and artistry to any music collection.
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the world of vinyl, records have a unique ability to connect listeners to music on a deeper level. Their physical grooves and the ritual of placing a needle on a spinning disc create a tactile and engaging experience. From classic albums to modern releases, vinyl remains a cherished way to enjoy music.
