Description

Damian Lazarusrsquo magical live project The Ancient Moons returns with Heart of Sky released on July 20th through Crosstown RebelsBMG. The album was recorded in Monastic Studios, Lazarusrsquo custombuilt studio overlooking the Mugello mountains, deep in the heart of Tuscany. Much of Heart of Sky is ebulliently fronted by Jesse Appiah, the rising London singer whorsquos worked with Michael Kiwanuka, Jamie Woon, Kwabs and Jess Glynne. He is joined by Ben Chetwood of indie outfit I Am Arrows, the Heritage Orchestrarsquos Rob Gentry, and, of course, Lazarus himself. The result is an album that its maker admits ldquoit may not be for the techno puristsrdquo but which, instead, has an ambitiously broad scope, straddling both clubland and alternative pop for the dancefloor and for the head. Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons CD is available for home delivery from Vinyl Records London, only £8
