When McGrillen invited the band to dinner and to visit Metropolis Studio in London, a friendship blossomed. He wrote two songs with the band that would appear on the new record. The Edge of the Abyss sees characters travelling between different dimensions, worlds with people who mysteriously resemble doubles of each one of us, like shadows that seem to stalk us but who in reality seek to communicate with us.
