Description

Following their ‘Nowhere’ 30th anniversary UK tour last year, shoegaze legends Ride reissue two more titles of their early classic albums ‘Tarantula’ and ‘Carnival of Light’ via Wichita Recordings. These follow last year’ s reissues of ‘Nowhere’ , ‘4EPs’ , and ‘Going Blank Again’ from their days on Creation Records. ‘Carnival of Light’ , the band’ s third album, is repressed on CD and on transparent green double vinyl with a 12×12 insert. All the original audio has been reworked and refined. One of the leading lights of the early 90′ s shoegaze scene, Ride reformed in 2014, releasing their first album in over 20 years in 2017. ‘Weather Diaries’ was produced by Erol Alkan and greeted by a raft of critical and commercial acclaim, reaching Number 11 in the UK album charts. It also saw Ride reunited with Wichita Records’ Dick Green and Mark Bowen, who worked with the band during their early years on Creation Records. Ride Vinyl is available for home delivery from Vinyl Records London, only £24

Vinyl

Vinyl records are a timeless format that continues to captivate music lovers with their warm, analogue sound. Unlike digital formats, vinyl offers a rich, textured listening experience that many argue feels more authentic and immersive. With their larger artwork and tangible presence, records bring a sense of nostalgia and artistry to any music collection.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the world of vinyl, records have a unique ability to connect listeners to music on a deeper level. Their physical grooves and the ritual of placing a needle on a spinning disc create a tactile and engaging experience. From classic albums to modern releases, vinyl remains a cherished way to enjoy music.
