Recorded in 1966, Mr. Zero was the first solo single released by Yardbirds frontman Keith Relf. The bands manager, Giorgio Gomelsky, had proposed the idea that all the members should record a solo single, with Relf being first. Written by American folk singer Bob Lind and produced by Yardbird Paul SamwellSmith, Mr. Zero is a baroque pop gem and highlights Relfs haunting vocal style. The Bside features Knowing, an original song by Keith Relf written about his bride, April, whom he had married just a few months prior. Relf accompanies himself on autoharp, joined by Jeff Beck and Rick Jones on guitar duties. Reissued as a standalone single for the first time, both tracks have been mastered by Phil Kinrade and cut by Jasper Ward at AIR Mastering. Housed in a heavystock card sleeve featuring the rare French issue cover with spot UV detailing. Keith Relf is available for home delivery from Vinyl Records London, only £13 +P&P
