Newly remastered release of Toyah s 1982 silver selling album The Changeling. The release continues the reissue programme of Toyahs entire Safari Records catalogue. Produced by the acclaimed Steve Lillywhite , the album features a lineup of Toyah Willcox vocals, Joel Bogen guitar, the late Phil Spalding bass and the revered Simon Phillips drums. The album also features guest synthesizers keyboards from Andy Clark David Bowie s Scary Monsters And Super Creeps, member of BeBop Deluxe and Simon Darlow . The brass section from Haircut 100 also feature on Street Creature. The Changeling is the darker, more grownup sequel to the previous years goldselling album Anthem. The Changeling entered the UK Top 40 in June 1982, peaking at number six, it spent 12 weeks on the chart was awarded a silver sales certification. The album was preceded by the single Brave New World, which was accompanied by a David Mallet directed video recalling Bowies solarised Ashes To Ashes promo, but with Toyahs unique and memorable hair, makeup and performance. The album also includes the muchloved fan favourite Angel amp Me, the dramatic, horror movieesque The Packt and irresistibly melodic, rallying cry of Dawn Chorus. The Changeling has been remastered by Nick Watson from the original master tapes and approved by Joel Bogen, and further endorsed by Steve Lillywhite. The album is available on strictly limitededition neon pink coloured vinyl, reflecting the striking colour of Toyahs ethereal hair from the back cover and in the Brave New World video. The Expanded 2011 edition of QOTSA’s self titled album is being made available once again on LP and CD. This ‘definitive version’ of the album comes with original Loose-Groove cover artwork and a number of bonus tracks.
