For more check out all the official Bow Wow Wow merchandise & vinyl available for home delivery with Vinyl Records London, only £28 +P&P When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going is the second studio album by English new wave band Bow Wow Wow, originally released in 1983. It was produced by Mike Chapman, who previously worked with Pat Benatar and Blondie amongst others. It is the final album featuring all four original members of the band and the first album that had no writers other than the band members contributing. At the behest of guitarist Matthew Ashman, vocalist Annabella Lwin wrote all the lyrics on the album. The lead single, ‘Do You Wanna Hold Me’, reached 47 in the UK, but fared best on the Dutch charts, where it peaked at 3. With the help of a video in heavy rotation on MTV, the song achieved success in the US.When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going is available as a 40th anniversary edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on translucent pink coloured vinyl and includes an insert.

Heavyweight Vinyl

Heavyweight vinyl is pressed on thicker, denser material—typically weighing 180 grams or more. This added weight offers improved durability, reduced warping, and is often believed to provide better sound quality due to more stable playback. Many audiophile releases, reissues, and deluxe editions are pressed on heavyweight vinyl, making it a popular choice among collectors and music enthusiasts who value both performance and longevity. While it doesn’t automatically guarantee superior audio, its solid, premium feel and association with high-quality production standards have made it a trusted format for serious vinyl fans.

Vinyl

Vinyl records are a timeless format that continues to captivate music lovers with their warm, analogue sound. Unlike digital formats, vinyl offers a rich, textured listening experience that many argue feels more authentic and immersive. With their larger artwork and tangible presence, records bring a sense of nostalgia and artistry to any music collection.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or new to the world of vinyl, records have a unique ability to connect listeners to music on a deeper level. Their physical grooves and the ritual of placing a needle on a spinning disc create a tactile and engaging experience. From classic albums to modern releases, vinyl remains a cherished way to enjoy music.
