Brett Anderson has said that he regards the song as the highwater mark of his writing partnership with Bernard Butler, and also as his favourite Suede song. The song has a special place in a Suede concert to this day. The single peaked at number 18 in the UK charts.The Bside was Modern Boys. This song did not appear on the Dog Man Star album.
